#Win7 startup manager how to
Its been a while and forgot how to do this (used it to debug an oracle database / client thing a few years back). I guess a test of sorts would be to create a MS Event in the logs tracking the bits of HS starting it would show times etc. I've really paid attention last year when I set up the W7 32 bit test Ultimate real, 64 bit real and starter VM because it worked just fine once it was running. The text above is a special shell command which will open the Startup folder for you directly. To add or remove an app from the Startup folder, you need to do the following: Press Win + R shortcut keys together and type the following into the Run box: shell:Startup. Choose Disable automatic restart on system failure. The Startup folder is an easier way to manage apps. Quickly begin tapping F8 repeatedly, until you see the list of boot options. I'm wondering if I should actually do something other than put it in the startup folder to start it. Wait for your BIOS to complete POST (the screen with your manufacturer logo and/or system information) 3. I saw it in the task manager but it looks like it starts then quits then starts again. It appeared that HS was running way before the desktop was showing anything. Cold boot the box and have it currently just going to the desktop auto logging a user to the desktop. Hold the windows and letter R key on the keyboard. To enable a startup app in the list which is disabled, right-click on the app and select 'enable'.

To disable a startup app, right-click on any app in the list with a status of 'enabled' and select 'disable'.

Yesterday put HS in the startup as above. Open 'Task Manager', then select the 'Startup' tab Disable/Enable Startup Apps. Its still though a somewhat tweaked W2011 with bits of W7 32bit thrown in. Open the Startup Apps Control Panel To open the panel, try any of the following Open ' Task Manager ' and select the ' Startup ' tab Open windows startup menu, and type ' Startup ' to search for the program. Going really slow and now its become a very manual swap over step by step. It seems to be OK running on the 64 bit OS. I've noticed a similiar wierd thing with W2011.
